SEASONAL AVAILABILITY: Bare Root plants are supplied from late November until Spring the following year.

CHARACTERISTICS: Abies Nordmanniana, commonly known as Nordmann Fir, are evergreen trees which are particularly popular as Christmas trees. These outdoor plants have aromatic, deep green, needle-like foliage which remains all year long.

HEIGHT AND SPREAD: Supplied in a dormant state, these outdoor shrubs can eventually reach an approximate height of up to 45 metres and an ultimate spread of 8 metres, although they can be easily pruned to remain at hedge size without losing a lot of foliage.

PLANTING TIPS: Bare-Root hedging is typically planted in a double staggered row of 5 plants per metre. Evergreen plants are generally planted to less density than deciduous plants, such is the nature of their dense foliage.

Abies Nordmanniana, more commonly known as Nordmann Fir, are evergreen hedging plants, with beautifully aromatic, needle-like foliage in deepest green, remaining all year round. Nordmann Fir is an incredibly popular variety of Christmas tree, but the foliage looks fabulous as attractive hedging all year long.

Although Nordmann Fir can eventually reach a huge height and spread, growing from bare root means it is easy to prune and maintain hedging at the size and shape suitable for your garden.
