Malus domestica 'Fiesta' apples delight the taste buds with a rich, aromatic, nutty and sweet flavour. They are easily identified by their bright red skin and snow white flesh. Their heritage stems back to Kent in 1972 and this tree holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit. It is similar to the popular Cox apple but far easier to grow as it has good disease resistance, making it a great choice for the more difficult Northern areas.
Fiesta Apples can be eaten straight off the tree and also make great desserts. They can be baked into delicious apple tarts or juiced for a fresh and healthy summer drink.
Malus domestica 'Fiesta' is ideal for home gardens and produces a heavy crop of fruit ready for harvesting in early October. To guarantee cross pollination plant in a sunny, open site with another tree from the same or adjacent flowering group. The 'Howgate Wonder' makes a perfect partner.
We offer the Malus domestica 'Fiesta' as a rootstock MM106, semi-dwarfing, which is tolerant of a range of soils including grassed orchards and poor soils. This is the most widely used rootstock. Plant with a spacing of 4.5m between the rows for best results. When left unpruned it will reach heights of 4-5m in a 10 year period.
Nothing is more rewarding than having fruit-bearing trees in your garden. Plant the wonderful Fiesta Apple tree as a start to your mini orchard.
