Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: rounded, deciduous tree with a spreading habit and dark green foliage along with white flowers and small, elliptical yellow fruit.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height of 4 – 8m and spread of 2 – 4m.
Flourishing Season: Clusters of pink buds blooming into scented white flowers in Spring and Summer followed by yellow, slightly pointed fruits.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun. Tolerates partially shaded areas.
Malus ‘Comtesse de Paris’ is a variety of Crab Apple tree with a longer fruiting period and known for being one of the more resistant breeds. The branches carry dark green foliage and small pink buds giving way to scented, pure white flowers in the Spring followed by small, bright yellow fruits with an oval, slightly pointed shape which can last right through to Winter. Produces a consistent yield and makes for a good pollinator.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. Susceptible to salty coastal air. Self-fertile, requiring no other trees nearby to produce fruit though cross pollination yields the best results.
