Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Upright evergreen shrub bearing glossy, dark green leaves turning to red in the cold seasons and clusters of white flowers.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height of 0.5 – 1m and spread of 1 – 1.5m.
Flourishing Season: Small, fragrant white flowers blooming in the Spring.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Prefers acidic soils. Keep in full or partial sun.
Leucothoe ‘Royal Ruby’, also known as Dog Hobble, is a low growing, evergreen shrub with arching branches, though it tends to spread low and dense making it an ideal candidate for ground cover. Glossy, dark green foliage grows thick, maturing to rich red in the colder months. Drooping panicles of small, fragrant, urn-shaped flowers blooming in the late Spring and into the Summer appear beneath the foliage, providing spots of bright contrast with the dark foliage.
Grows well in moist, well-drain soiled. Prefers acidic soils with ericaceous compost and should be kept in full or partial sun, with partial sun bringing out more of the foliage colours. Water regularly and consistently.
