Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Small mounded, semi-evergreen shrub with bright yellow flowers and oval, green leaves that are variegated and have splashes of red with white margins.
Growth & Spread: An average speed grower, can take from 5 to 10 years to reach its average height and spread up to 0.5 m.
Flourishing Season: Beautiful, soft-petaled, yellow flowers from summer into autumn
Water & Maintenance: Regular watering is needed in the beginning to help establish the plant and then weekly to ensure sufficient moisture. It is a low maintenance plant.
“Tricolor” is a hardy, semi-evergreen shrub with unique variegated foliage that consists of elongated, ovate leaves of 2 to 3 cm. The fringes or margins of the leaves can have white and pinkish hues. Brightly coloured, yellow flowers appear during the summer and autumn months.
Pruning is best in the spring time after the frost and before any major growth occurs, although most of the time, this plant will only need pruning in order to adjust its dimensions or layout.
Adaptability is a nice characteristic to various soil conditions, but they must be well-draining. It can tolerate direct sunlight, as well as, partial shade. It is relatively hardy, but should be protected or grown in sheltered locations.
St. John’s wort grows well as a ground cover due to its low maintenance. It is ideal for landscaping areas like flower borders or cottage settings. As such, it does well in rustic and more “natural” feeling garden settings. Another great use for this plant is in garden patios in containers or in rock or gravel garden areas.
