Empathy Bulb Starter 250g ensures the ideal biological conditions for bulbs to germinate, grow and flower. Designed around the recognised rootgrow mycorrhizal fungi, Empathy Bulb Starter also includes vermiculite to ensure good drainage in the root zone and seaweed meal as a source of natural auxins to stimulate root development. The product also contains humates as a source of organic acids for both the treated bulb and soil micro-organisms. Each pack of 250g Bulb Start is sufficient enough to plant 25 bulbs to ensure strong growth and development.

Hyacinths are loved, not just for their showy blooms, which look equally good in bedding schemes or vases, but for their deliciously strong scent. Therefore, try to plant them somewhere that you can take full advantage of it.
Garden care: Using gloves plant bulbs 10-15cm (4-6in) deep and 15cm (6in) apart in early or mid-autumn.
Hyacinthus orientalis 'Carnegie' Upright dense racemes of pure white, bell-shaped flowers appear in late spring. These are carried on stout stems and have a delicious fragrance.
Hyacinthus orientalis 'Pink Pearl' Soft, rose pink flowers form a dense, cylindrical cluster, which if planted near a pathway or entrance, will knock you out with their scent each time you pass.
Hyacinthus orientalis 'Blue Pearl' (PBR)Tightly packed flower-heads of scented, bell-shaped blooms appear in March and April above the glossy, strap-like, dark green leaves. These beautiful hyacinths make a fabulously fragrant patio display with spring-flowering pansies and bulbs.
Hyacinthus orientalis 'Sky Jacket'The soft pastel shade of the flowers will blend well with soft pinks and white, as well as offering a calming tone to richer purples and plums. They smell divine and make excellent cut flowers.
