Also known as Cutting Celery, Chinese Celery, Wild Celery or Apium graveolens, Celery Leaf is much easier to grow than regular celery. A hardy biennial, it will retain its colour year-round with a little protection from the elements.
Unlike regular celery, Celery Leaf is grown more for its leaves than its stalks (though the thinner stalks make a great addition to stir fries). Young leaves bring a sweet flavour to salads, soups and sauces and can be used as a garnish for summer drinks. Mature leaves are perfect for soups, stews and marinades. Wild Celery is bursting with flavour so use sparingly.
Vibrant colour and an aromatic foliage make Chinese Celery a welcome addition to any kitchen garden. It is attractive enough to plant in borders and does well in pots and containers.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
