Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.

Clematis Montana belongs to the first group of Clematis family. It is an early flowering Clematis native to Asian mountain ranges. Clematis Montana Freda is a healthy yet aggressive deciduous climber and can rise to a height up to 7 metres. Freda is one of the Clematis that blooms bright pink flowers from late spring to early summer.
Freda is half the size of a typical Clematis Montana, it is a fast climber and tends to cover the wall or fence quickly without taking over your small garden space. It flourishes in a moist but well-drained soil. Certain soil types like chalky soil, clay, loam or even sand support the growth, since the Clematis Montana plant is moisture retentive.
This climbing plant needs low maintenance, is sturdy and demands low intensity sunlight or grows well even in part shade. Its beautiful young bronze tinted leaves will become a ravishing sight in your garden as they mature and turn into green.
During the flowering season March - May Clematis Montana Freda will bear cheerful pink flowers. These garden flowers will create an amazing complexion around the fencing or walls. The plant requires light pruning after the flowering season.
Try to keep the roots cool by covering the soil around with small pebbles and let this climber outline the beauty of your garden.
