Characteristics: The Calathea Ornata is a plant that originates from South America. It is seen in many tropical climates and, due to its unique and eye-catching appearance, tends to stand out from the rest. It is an attractive indoor plant with beautiful foliage and a moderately easy-to-care for nature.
Plant Advice: Peat based soil is the best for this plant. 2 parts peat and 1-part perlite are a mixture you could use to get the best out of the plant’s growth period. Watering should be done so that, during Wintertime, the top soil does not dry out. In warmer months, keep the soil moist. Feeding should only take place sparingly during the growing season of April - October.
