• Characteristics: The Begonia rex Jolly Silver is an indoor plant with some very striking, long and narrow leaves which boast a dark green base colour and silver blotches throughout. The foliage has a very distinct look on top, which is in stark contrast to the deep red hue on the underside of each leaf. The King Begonia also offers air-purifying qualities, removing both harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins to benefit the room it is placed in.
• Plant Advice: Begonia Rex Jolly Silver should be placed in partial shade. This should be coupled with the avoidance of any direct sunlight as it will cause harmful leaf damage as time goes on. Watering should be carried out when the soil is dry to touch. This can be continued on a once-a-week basis throughout the year, until the Winter dormant period when these levels should drop to once every two weeks.

Rex Begonias, commonly known as King Begonia, are best known for their striking foliage. This Jolly Silver variety has long and narrow leaves filled with a dark green base colour, silver additions throughout and a deep red hue on the underside of each leaf. King Begonia will use its air-purifying qualities to disperse of any harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins, replacing them with a fresh and revitalised atmosphere for all to live in. Placing it in partial shade is recommended, along with avoiding consistent contact with direct sunlight as that will cause damage to this unique evergreen. You should water the plant when the soil is dry to touch, making the process a once-a-week fixture. However, during its dormant period of Winter, you can lower this to once every two weeks.
