Product Description
Our GardenersDream plant pot cover provides a stylish look and feel to your houseplants, perfect for placing anywhere around the home. Ideal for pot sizes between 12-13cm, this quality cover is made from 100% recyclable plastic and offers long lasting durability against wear and tear.
Simply fit the standard pot containing the plant into the cover, eliminating the need for more potting compost. This covering is also watertight so no need to worry about water spilling out.
Characteristics: The Begonia Maculata is one of the most eye-catching and exciting evergreen begonias around. Its long leaves are of olive-green colour and are accompanied by white dots on the top, with the underside of the foliage being a deep red. It begins to form white flowers during the period of Spring to Autumn, adding another visually pleasing aspect to the plant. This is a plant which prefers more shade than the majority of indoor plants, but it also loves high humidity. Making a bathroom the ideal indoor location.
Plant Advice: Over a period of 2-5 years, Begonia Maculata will grow to an ultimate height of 0.5-1m and an ultimate spread of 0.1-0.5m. When watering, strike the right balance so you mainly water the soil, so it is kept moist. Don’t water the leaves of the plant as this is not necessary. Feeding should be done with a water-soluble fertiliser, but it is not essential for this indoor plant – once or twice every couple of months would suffice. The very mild toxicity towards cats & dogs is a feature of the Maculata, but not a harmful one.

Begonia Maculata is an evergreen member of the Begonia genus. The plant has very distinct olive-green foliage which boasts white polka dots on the top and a deep red underside. Its unique and distinct look makes it an ideal plant for any indoor space you decide to situate the plant in. Maculata takes a small amount of watering, only requiring water on the soil so it is moist; avoid watering the leaves. Feeding the plant is also minimalist, making the entire maintenance process almost hassle-free. For a plant that offers many upsides as an indoor plant, it is a must-have for any plant lovers out there. The toxicity is a factor to be aware of, with the Maculata being very mildly toxic to pets.

Stunning!
I've wanted one of these for ages and I was not disappointed, they are beautiful. The plant delivered was at least 30cm high (including pot) and very healthy. Three new leaves have already grown in the month since it arrived. I love the way they are shipped, never cramped, lovingly given space. I'm so pleased to have found this website as every plant I have bought has been beyond expectations.
