The Malus domestica ‘Bramley’ seedlings’ is a late-season cooking apple that can be used in cooking, juicing and even in the making of cider.
Bramley’s Seedling produces large apples high in acidity that are ideal for cooking and baking. Due to Bramley’s Seedling high acidic content, it cooks down to a stuff but light puree, a key requirement for traditional English apple cookery.
Apple are one of the easier fruit trees to grow and are increasingly becoming more popular with gardeners. They are medium sized deciduous trees with flashy Spring flowers and ornamental or edible fruit in the Autumn.
Bramley’s Seedling trees are known for being long-lived and large. The original tree was grown from a pip in Nottinghamshire in 1809 and is still alive today.
Apple trees benefit from growing in slightly sheltered, sunny area, as the blossom will attract a large variety of pollinators as well as the sun will help ripen the fruit.
